New changes focus on customizing the data interface and experience to make analysis and decision making more intuitive for the user.Tulare, Calif.VAS has launched a number of new enhancements to the VAS Platform, the company’s flagship web-based software platform, that brings data and intelligence from core areas on the dairy (cows, feed, parlor) into a single interface for more dynamic data analysis, reporting and decision making — all from any computer or mobile device with a data/web connection. Enhancements include a newly customizable dashboard, and new operations menus and overview pages for the primary three programs that make up the Platform (DairyComp, FeedComp and ParlorComp).
“The VAS Platform now features a customizable and intuitive dashboard, and we have incorporated new features, enhancements and partner integrations that have already transformed how dairy producers manage data and their operation,” says Robin Dunki Jacobs, CEO, VAS. “The VAS Platform is constantly evolving and expanding capabilities and data connections — these latest enhancements represent an ongoing evolution in the platform and the capabilities it will provide dairy producers.””The VAS Platform is constantly evolving and expanding capabilities and data connections — these latest enhancements represent an ongoing evolution in the platform and the capabilities it will provide dairy producers. ”

New Customizable Dashboard
The central interface of the VAS Platform is a new dashboard, where dairy producers can engage with top level data from their core dairy, feed and parlor systems. The dashboard is now customizable to allow users to move, organize and size data feeds and displays to their preferences.
New Operations Menus and Overview Pages
The user interface now features menu items on the left-hand column that link to overview pages for DairyComp, FeedComp and ParlorComp — giving the user an interface similar to the dairy dashboard for each individual program and data set.
Enhanced Pens List
Dairy managers can now see a pens list for each program — DairyComp, FeedComp and ParlorComp — and display pens across all dairy zones and provide filtering options that allow the user to see only the information needed at the moment.
Enhanced CowCards
DairyComp users who first deploy the VAS Platform will notice that the CowCards are identical to how they appear in DairyComp. Users can, however, customize the look of the card, edit titles, and toggle data such as test days to have data appear in the preferred order.
New FeedWatch Equipment Status
VAS Platform users integrated with FeedComp will now be able to view the current status of feed mixers — critical in ensuring productivity and accurate diet preparation, and addressing down equipment in a timely fashion. The header boxes for each mixer will be color coded to inform users whether the mixer has a good connection (green), a lost connection (red), or if the equipment is disabled (gray).
New Weather Report Widget
This addition allows users to see current and future weather conditions from within the interface/app.
New Milk Shipment Widget
This new interface in the VAS Platform presents data on the milk that has shipped from the dairy, including the average amount shipped (including the last date, and total number of days, that the average is based on), the energy corrected milk (ECM) weight and the fat corrected milk (FCM) weight. All of these features are now available on the VAS Platform.
