Event Definitions

OK Event

The OK event confirms an animal's current status. It can also be used to change a FRESH animal to OK/OPEN status. Expand the sections below to learn more:

Use the mobile app or the web version of PULSE to enter events! Tap Events in the mobile appmobile app to get started, or see Add EventsAdd Events to learn more about adding events from web. PULSE supports adding events that have occurred within the last year.

Note the guidelines below when working with the OK event:

If you are checking an animal that is in the RPRO status FRESH, you can enter an OK event to change her RPRO status to OK/OPEN and remove her from the list of animals to confirm as FRESH.

If you are checking animals on the vet list for a PREG confirmation (CONF) or reconfirmation (RCON, P2, P3), you can enter an OK event to confirm that an animal is still pregnant. In this case, the completed OK event will then remove her from the list of animals to confirm as pregnant.

For DCU dairies, if DC305 indicates that an animal may be ABT?, the OK event can be used to mark her as still pregnant.

When you add events from web or the mobile app, your updates are sent to PULSE and then on to DairyComp for DCU dairies (WiFi or data connection required).

When the updates are received, an OK event is added for each completed animal to confirm that it has been checked. The EDAY is recorded as the date the event was completed.
