if pocket cowcard does not communicate with dairycomp, follow the five most common troubleshooting steps shown below contact support if the below steps do not solve the issue contact us docid\ erznbnh1ww36p9q6rnppv command line is clear (not greyed out) the dairycomp command line must not be busy or greyed out for pocket cowcard to refresh or post data simply click on the command line so it turns white and the cursor is flashing, then try again server setting if the server box in the top center of the dairycomp screen displays server \[stopped] , pocket cowcard will not communicate with dairycomp to fix this, enter server on the command line and select start verify the connected wifi network when using the local ip address, the pocket cowcard device must be connected to the same local wifi network as the dairycomp computer follow these steps to determine if a different wifi network is being used check the dairycomp computer's network click on the wifi icon in the bottom right corner take note of which wfi network is being used check the pocket cowcard device's network swipe down from the top select the settings icon in the top right corner select connections view wifi to confirm which wifi network the device is using follow step 3 if the network is different than that used by the dairycomp computer change the wifi network on the device tap on wifi select the wifi network used by the dairycomp computer return to the pocket cowcard home screen and try refreshing or posting again verify the ip address the ip address used by a computer may periodically change follow the below steps to determine if the ip address has changed 💡 tip have your isp (internet service provider) or it person create a static ip address for your dairycomp computer this will prevent the ip address from changing and reduce communication issues with pocket cowcard in dairycomp enter server\3 on the command line view the ip address displayed in the ip addresses for client setup box in pocket cowcard tap on the settings icon (white dot) in the top right corner under the settings tab , the server address box will display the ip address in yellow numbers if this ip address is different than that shown in dairycomp, the ip address has changed and needs to be adjusted in pocket cowcard follow step 3 if the ip address has changed adjust the ip address in pocket cowcard select the server address box displaying the ip address in yellow select add new ip displayed in the blue bar at the top of the screen select insert new ip address enter the new ip address displayed in the ip addresses for client setup box in dairycomp select add new ip to add the ip address to pocket cowcard place a check mark next to the new ip address tap on select new ip displayed in the blue box at the bottom of the screen (you may need to minimize the device keyboard) select the home icon in the top left corner refreshing select refresh herd from dc305 posting select send changes to dc305 🗒️ note dairycomp may display multiple ip addresses in the ip addresses for client setup box look for an ip address that begins with 192 168 if the original ip address is not listed, try entering each available 192 168 # # address one at a time until you find the one that connects successfully reboot devices if the above steps do not solve the communication issue, try rebooting the pocket cowcard device, the dairycomp computer, and the router ⚠️ important a pocket cowcard device should be rebooted regularly for best performance the pocket cowcard home screen displays the last reboot in days and hours as a reference
