reproductive codes (commonly referred to as "repro" codes) indicate an animal's reproductive status the chart below lists all dairycomp repro codes, including their number (e g , ) their status (e g , / ) in cowcard and dairycomp lists, an animal's repro code is shown as status (e g , / , , , etc ) because it easily entifies the animal's reproductive status however, knowing each number has great advantages as well it is actually preferable to use the number in the for statement when creating lists or reports for example, if you want a list of all first lactation cows that are inseminated you can type the following filter in the command line for =1 =4 reproductive code = 4 ( ) used to identify animals that have been bred but not do not qualify for open or pregnant status or if you want to know how many cows are marked as dnb, you can use the following filter for >0 =1 score based on animal age and cost of events to date the higher the index value, the more likely the animal should be sold see the chart below when working with dairycomp repro codes \\ \\ \description\ =0 blank " " used for young calves and heifers that have not been bred =1 do not breed (dnb) animals =2 animals that have recently given birth (" ") =3 / animals that are eligible to breed these could be animals that were checked and declared ready to breed or a bred animal that was declared open =4 inseminated animals that have not been diagnosed as or =5 animals that have been declared pregnant =6 animals in their dry period (not milking) =7 / any animal that was sold or has died =8 bullcaf a male that was added to dairycomp click here to find a list of reproductive codes in dairycomp open the window by typing in the command line and pressing enter in the window, select the codes tab on the codes tab, the repro codes section displays the current list of reproductive codes with the exception of \important \ do not change the code descriptions on the codes page doing so may create unintended errors and make them difficult to troubleshoot
