the go live day is often the most important day in your installation journey, as this is when your install technician loads your dairy’s data into dairycomp on this day, your technician focuses on achieving three key objectives validate converted data against previous software ensure the new customers are comfortable with all essential functions and workflows in dairycomp 305 complete initial training 🗒️ note this is a very important day and may require several hours of your time it's best to schedule the go live day on a less busy day of the week be prepared to dedicate up to 1 4 hours per day during the first week after the go live day your install technician will reach out to you to schedule your go live day begin the day by adding your herd data into dairycomp (this step will only take a few minutes) teach you how to enter new events (fresh, bred, etc ) recorded after the data was received for conversion, especially if your data was converted from an stf file created after your last test day this is a great time to practice data entry! lead the process for validating your herd data if you are using another herd management software, expect to spend time comparing cow data between the two programs review with you how to open, close, restart and navigate around dairycomp lead the process for validating your daily work lists for sync shots, vaccines, vet checks, etc if you are using another herd management software, expect to spend time comparing work lists between the two programs this task may be spread out over several days, depending on when lists are needed how to prepare adjust work schedule(s) as needed to allow for the owner and/or the herd manager to spend 1 4 hours working with your install technician have a list of recent events available for entry fresh, bred, preg, dry, health treatments, etc print off daily worklists from your current herd management software for sync shots, vaccine shots, vet checks, etc as these lists will be used to validate the new dairycomp worklists end of day checklist feel confident the cow data in dairycomp is correct know how to look up cow data know how to make basic entries fresh, bred, preg, dry and health treatments know where to find your daily worklists for sync shots, vaccines, vet checks, etc
