welcome to the dairycomp onboarding journey, a step by step learning path for new dairycomp users whether you're exploring dairycomp for the first time or joining a farm that already uses it, this journey walks you through each phase of your installation and onboarding by the end of this journey, you will understand the key terms, tools, and layout of dairycomp before your go live day know what to expect and how to prepare for go live day build confidence with the command line, setup, alter, reporting, and mobile solutions know where to find help and what comes after onboarding who this is for this journey is designed for new customers getting dairycomp for the first time new users joining a farm that already uses dairycomp before you begin you've purchased a dairycomp license and are in contact with your local sales representative or farm performance consultant (fpc) you have been completed the site survey with your install technician dairycomp has been installed on your computer with a demo herd your learning path this journey is organized into four phases progress through them in order, as each guide is designed to build your familiarity with dairycomp based on your current stage in the installation process phase overview pre install the pre install phase of the dairycomp installation process spans the time from completing the site survey with your install technician to your go live day this phase is designed to introduce you to the basics of dairycomp, helping ensure a smooth and successful transition on your go live day go live day this phase was added to provide an overview of your go live day by detailing what to expect from your install technician and how to prepare active onboarding active onboarding is the period following your go live day, typically lasting about four weeks during this phase, users will continue to work with their install technician while working at their own pace to complete the active onboarding guide end of onboarding this phase provides guidance for continuing your learning journey and for transitioning over to regular support channels after completing active onboarding with your install technician how to use this journey work at your own pace each guide takes roughly 5–15 minutes to read through follow the order the guides are sequenced so that each one is reflective of your current stage in the install process practice as you go follow along with dairycomp open so you have a visual reference as you work through the guides, and practice as you go phase 3 is flexible the active onboarding guides can be explored in any order focus on the topics most relevant to your daily work first we hope you find this journey helpful during your transition over to dairycomp!
