Items are specific facts or data points about the animal (like its breed or the somatic cell count of its milk) and are classified as either Stored or Calculated:

Stored items are data points that don't rely on events or other items (like an animal's birth date) and can be manually entered or changed.

Calculated items (like the somatic cell count) are automatically derived from events or items and require little-to-no user input.

In the CowCard, the Items1 and Items2 tabs each display up to 64 items. The default layout of each tab organizes the items into four columns of 16; however, you can edit the items that are displayed, as well as their order, in each tab:

NOTE: To view a complete list of the items configured for your DairyComp system, use the ALTER\2 command to open the Item definitions window. From there you can add, change, or delete items.
