\<font color="#67854e"> question \</font> what is a code and how do i change it? \<font color="#67854e"> answer \</font> the c ondition a ffecting r ecord ( ) code is a disposal code that the dhia uses to determine why an animal record was disposed and should not be used for sire proofs it's important to set these codes correctly because a disposal code tells the system why the animal was sold (i e , culled from the herd) and can be utilized to analyze data on culling decisions when you create a event for an animal, you can manually select the code or dairycomp automatically selects it if you are interfaced with dhia, dairycomp automatically sets the code to 6 for a event and 8 for a event if you are not interfaced with dhia, you can select 6 for a event, 8 for a event, or any other disposal code currently, you can only change codes for events expand the sections below to learn more change a code for one sold animal if you need to modify a code for a single animal, delete the existing event and create a new event with the correct code in the command line, enter for =\[date] \d to show all animals entered as dead or sold on the date you can also use the following commands to view a list of or animals dcar for =7\d by dcar\d analyze the list to find animals that have an incorrect code open the animal's cowcard and go to the events tab right click the event and select erase this event enter a new event for the animal using the correct code add additional codes if you do not use dhia, you can add additional codes to the disposal codes list you can add up to 7 additional codes enter the command and open the codes tab double click on a code that has a number of 0 (zero) in the disposal codes window, enter a previously unassigned code number and description click ok
