Before you can include any PULSE genomic data in your DairyComp reports, you must first add PULSE genomic items to DairyComp. Follow the steps below to continue:

**IMPORTANT: **Only add genomic items that you frequently use for reports. The item table in DairyComp has limited space. You can view all genomic items on your animals' CowCards in PULSE at any time.

1. In DairyComp, enter **PLATFORM** in the command line to open the VAS PULSE** Setup** window.

2. Click the **PULSE Items** tab.
3. Click the **+ Genomics** button to expand the list.
4. Map or add a genomic trait:
   - **Map Existing Item:** To map a genomic trait to an existing DairyComp item, double-click the trait. Select the existing item, then click **OK** to confirm your selection to map the trait to the item.
   - **Add New Item:** To create a new item for a genomic trait in DairyComp, check the box for the trait. Click **Create (1) Items**, then confirm your selection to add the item to the DairyComp database.
