### Required Setup

- This feature is only available when you’re using this device for feeding. If you change your mind about using a device for feeding, [log out of the app](docId\:w3eUqOYDx8RmzbHVfAKFn) and select **Yes** or **No** when asked if the device will be used for feeding.
- Before you can begin using FeedComp to feed at your dairy, you must complete the required setup. See [Start Here: Better Feeding Made Simple](docId\:v9LrP06GJnHphYg6TeHXY) to learn more about the required setup order.
- Devices used for feeding must be connected to a scale. See [Configure and Connect the Scale](docId\:yCZP8HFysnbKiOWlTwQoQ) to learn more about connecting to your scale.
- Bluetooth must be enabled on both loading and feeding devices.

🗒️ **NOTE:** Loader View is only supported on Android devices. See [Mobile Device Requirements](docId:-Mh9iSHgfy4zs45VGIeg-) for a list of recommended Android devices.
:::

Use Loader View to monitor and manage the loading of ingredients from a second mobile device while you're out feeding. Loader View lets the person operating the physical loader (tractor or payloader) use the second mobile device to see ingredient targets, track loading progress, and advance or pause feedings in real time — without walking over to the mixer device.

A Loader View setup uses two mobile devices:

- **Mixer device** — the primary phone or tablet, mounted in or near the mixer, connected to the scale. Controls the overall feeding workflow.
- **Loader device** — a second phone or tablet carried by the loader operator. Connects to the mixer device via Bluetooth to mirror loading actions.

💡 **TIP: **Bluetooth must be enabled on both devices. For best results, use devices dedicated to FeedComp (avoid pairing earbuds, smartwatches, or truck audio on the same device, since those connections can take priority and disrupt Loader View).
:::

Follow the steps below to enable and start using Loader View:

## Add Loader Equipment in FeedComp

Before you can use Loader View, create a "Loader" entry in FeedComp's Equipment list. This entry isn't a physical piece of equipment — it's a profile that tells FeedComp which mobile device will act as the loader operator's device.

1. Go to the Adjustments screen.
2. Tap **Equipment**.
3. Tap **Create Equipment** at the bottom of the screen.
4. Enter the following information for the loader:
 - **Equipment Name:** It must be unique and cannot match the name of existing equipment.
 - **Equipment Type:** Select **Loader**.
 - **Audio Trigger Weight: **Enter the scale weight that activates a sound notification. These sounds notify your technician when a specific ingredient weight is reached while mixing or a load of feed is almost done dropping at a pen. Sounds allow technicians to feed more efficiently because they won't need to look at the scale and/or mobile device while feeding.
 - **Audio Settings: **Tap **+ Add Sound **to select the sound that plays when the scale reaches the Audio Trigger Weight and configure its playback settings. See [Enable Sounds](docId\:xpXwbUn3LNeeuL22xQVpW) to learn more about adjusting the settings.
5. Tap **Save** at the bottom of the screen.

After you finish adding loader equipment to FeedComp, [connect the loader equipment to FeedComp](docId\:Jz7z-evo1pFXe8f3DBA5w).

3. Save your selection and exit **Settings**.

## Pair Loader View Devices via Bluetooth

:::hint{type="success"}
💡**TIP:** Loader View pairing connects two **mobile devices** to each other via Bluetooth — this is different from pairing a **scale** to the FeedComp app. For a side-by-side comparison, see [Bluetooth Pairing in FeedComp](docId\:V4no-RnSv3PxVDQ5fzAAm).
:::

If pairing devices for the first time using Loader View, **you need to pair the two Android devices together via Bluetooth first**. To do this:

1. Open Bluetooth settings on both tablets.
2. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
3. On the mixer device name, select** Pair new device**.
4. Tap the name of the loader device.
5. When a pairing code displays on both screens, confirm it matches and tap **Pair **on both tablets.
6. Once the tablets are paired, you can connect a loading device to a feeding device within FeedComp and start using Loader View.

## Load Ingredients into the Mixer

After you enable Loader View, monitor and manage loading from your loading device:

1. Load the first ingredient for the mix. As you load ingredients, the scale weighs the load and FeedComp calculates the percentage complete. You can **Skip** :inlineImage[]{src="https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/3h8pSJcGUXEi4HGCCYPTA/P0OipizLfwrKzxBQkwMko_skip.png" alt caption size="10" width="21" height="20"} or **Ignore** :inlineImage[]{src="https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/3h8pSJcGUXEi4HGCCYPTA/YFBeVk6chwQ75yteCw_CO_ignore.png" alt caption size="10" width="21" height="20"} ingredients if needed.
 If the weight of an ingredient detected by the scale drops below the threshold set for the mixer while mixing a recipe, FeedComp displays an alert that requires attention before adding the next ingredient to the mixer. To set the threshold, see [Create New Equipment](docId\:xpXwbUn3LNeeuL22xQVpW) and [Edit Equipment](docId\:xpXwbUn3LNeeuL22xQVpW). Tap **Acknowledge** to confirm and record the ingredient's actual amount and continue mixing. Acknowledged ingredients are identified with an **ACK** icon :inlineImage[]{src="https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/3h8pSJcGUXEi4HGCCYPTA/e3h2qk6nzCzhW9mJP-1eB_ack.png" alt caption size="10" width="40" height="24"} on the [Feed History Report](docId\:sNFXayQXWiARjJjnQGD8w).
2. If a timer was set for the ingredient, wait for the timer to complete. Or, tap **Advance this Ingredient **:inlineImage[]{src="https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/3h8pSJcGUXEi4HGCCYPTA/r6o8_IG6m3ISfFTYos9fa_advance.png" alt caption size="10" width="18" height="18"} to move to the next step in the recipe.
3. If a time delay was set between ingredients, FeedComp displays a countdown in the middle of the screen for the allotted time. You can tap **Skip** to immediately move to the next ingredient in the recipe.

Once all of the ingredients are added and the progress bar reaches 100%, FeedComp automatically disconnects your device from the feeding device and returns you to the **Home** :inlineImage[]{src="https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/3h8pSJcGUXEi4HGCCYPTA/kyfJ__NEXLO7sIx1WhMpn_homeicon30x25.png" alt caption size="10" width="30" height="25"} screen. The feeding technician can now drop the mix at the necessary locations.

## Abort a Feeding in Progress

Once the loading process is started for a feeding, you can tap :inlineImage[]{src="https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/3h8pSJcGUXEi4HGCCYPTA/YFBeVk6chwQ75yteCw_CO_ignore.png" alt caption size="10" width="21" height="20"} Abort at the top middle of the screen to abort the feeding. Feedings started but not completed are identified with an **Aborted** icon :inlineImage[]{src="https://api.archbee.com/api/optimize/3h8pSJcGUXEi4HGCCYPTA/RDb4WBYew4Aeq5oywEXHo_aborted-feeding28x25.png" alt caption size="10" width="28" height="25"} on the [Feed History Report](docId\:sNFXayQXWiARjJjnQGD8w).
