Before installing FeedComp, review the minimum requirements and the recommended devices. Contact [VAS Support](https://vas.com/contact-support/) before purchasing a new device.

## Minimum System Requirements

Verify that your device meets or exceeds the following requirements:

**Android Requirements**

- Android 14 OS or newer
- 8 GB RAM
- 64 GB storage (minimum 8 GB of free storage)
- Bluetooth Version 5.3 or newer
- Octa-core mid-range processor (Snapdragon 665, MediaTek Helio G85, Exynos 980, or better)

**Apple (iOS/iPadOS) Requirements**

- iOS 17 / iPadOS 17 or newer
- 8 GB RAM
- 64 GB storage (minimum 8 GB of free storage)
- Bluetooth Version 5.3 or newer
- Processors/Devices:
  - Apple A12 Bionic chip or newer
  - iPhone XR / XS (2018) or newer
  - iPad Air 3rd generation (2019) or newer
  - iPad 7th generation (2019) or newer

## Recommended Devices

The devices below are recommended for FeedComp and have been tested by VAS or meet the minimum requirements.

### Android Tablets & Phones

- **Samsung Galaxy Tab S9: **8 GB RAM • Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 • 128 GB storage
- **Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+:** 8 GB RAM • Exynos 1380 • 256 GB storage
- **Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+:** 8 GB RAM • MediaTek Helio G99 • 128 GB storage
- **Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite: **8 GB RAM • Exynos 1380 • 256 GB storage
- **Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: **12 GB RAM • Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 • 256 GB+ storage
- **Samsung Galaxy S23 / S24: **8 GB RAM • Snapdragon 8 Gen 2/3 • 128 GB+ storage

### Apple iPads & iPhones

- **iPad Pro 11" / 12.9" (M4, 2024):** 8–16 GB RAM • Apple M4 chip • 256 GB+ storage
- **iPad Air 11" / 13" (M2, 2024):** 8 GB RAM • Apple M2 chip • 128 GB+ storage
- **iPhone 16 Pro / Pro Max: **8 GB RAM • A18 Pro chip • 128 GB+ storage
- **iPhone 16 / 16 Plus:** 8 GB RAM • A18 chip • 128 GB+ storage

## Best Practices for Farm Use

- **Storage Space:** Maintain at least **8 GB of available storage** to accommodate offline data caching, logs, and regular app updates.
- **Bluetooth 5.3:** A stable Bluetooth 5.3 connection is required for low-latency communication with scales, indicators, and loader hardware.
- **Rugged Protection:** Use a protective case and screen protector suitable for the farm’s dust, moisture, and drop risks.
- **OS Updates:** Keep your device on a FeedComp-supported operating system and install applicable security updates.
